Tracking website viewership can provide valuable insights about the people who visit your website…how they find it, how they use it, which pages are most popular, which days of the week have more traffic, etc.

The tracking tools available to you will depend on whether your site is hosted by, or another hosting arrangement/company. does not currently support Google Analytics tracking. However, there is a built-in statistics function, Stats, which shows most of the same types of information as Google Analytics would display.

You can view your site’s stats by clicking the stats link in the grey admin bar at the top of your site, or they are also visible on your Dashboard.  To find out more about how stats are measured and reported, see the following help page:

For statistics for a certain date, users can click on the date-bar on the 30 day report, and the following page is displayed…

WP Stats Pg, day provides you with built-in stats that give you lots of information about your traffic, but if you’re a stats junky and you can’t get enough info about how people are finding your site, some search engines and social sites offer additional “webmaster tools.”

For example, Google’s Webmaster Tools will give you some additional statistical data about your traffic, such as how many people are arriving at your site through Google queries, what part of the world your traffic is from, and how many visitors landed on each specific post or page. It will also show you the total number of individual URLs on your site that have been indexed by Google, which search keywords are most significant for your site, and other information about how Google is indexing your site. takes care of indexing your site and of all necessary SEO for you without your having to do anything at all (other than blog)! This is just an extra step you can take if you’d like to gather some additional information on your site traffic that might be of interest to you.

Sites hosted on, or by other hosting companies can take advantage of the full range of Google Analytics statistics reporting and presentation options.  The following Audience Overview spans the same 30-day period as the Stats report above, but you’ll notice the different elements tracked.
